About Bard Bootlegs

The Brobdingnagian Bards are a little bit different from your average Celtic or folk group. Most of those are very guarded about their music. They cling to it thinking that they will lose money by allowing others to record or distribute their music. But we have a different philosophy.

We believe that MP3s are a guiding light. They give us the opportunity to promote ourselves. And we believe that anyone who downloads and listens to our music will enjoy it enough that they will tell friends, buy CDs, make donations, and become a part of the Brobdingnagian Bards community.

That's why we started this website. Yes, we, the Brobdingnagian Bards, started our own Bootleg website. And we welcome you to be a part of it.

Just make a donation and you can download the MP3s of one of our live shows for free. Okay, well, there's the donation aspect. But from there, do what you want. Listen and share the MP3s with your friends. Tell them to visit BardBootlegs.com and become a part of this musical revolution.

And all of our music is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 License. This means, you are welcome to share our music with others. All we really ask is that if you enjoy what we do, make a donation, or buy a CD, or tell a friend, just do your part to help us continue to make a living as musicians.
